I didn't realise he was hated this much on here. He's pretty irrelevant to me.
I think it's Villa's turn to drop though. They haven't been down since 87.

Romford - Yes, but if he had established himself as a PL manager he could have gone on to earn amounts that make that figure look very small, so I doubt he is congratulating himself.

Like in life in general its always good to look at how managers behave when they lose especially a few in a row. As said Howe has always been articulate and reasonable even when they have taken a couple of tonkings just now. Didn't see the Spurs highlights but liked the way he acknowledged that his two keepers have had bad days the last two weeks but was quick to back them and move on.
Its people like Sherwood, Mourinho and Pardew (ref moaning last week and sulking about Ranieri this week) that REVEAL themselves in defeat.

Yeah. Lacks a bit of class. Bit petulant. Like his one word response interview after they got beat 3-2 from being 2-0 up. Just childish.
You look at Howe and the shit he's had to put up with this year and after every game he's articulate, professional and shows integrity. Leaves his frustration aside for the interviews.

He's just a fucking bellend who can't control his emotions, he's so fucking cringey, that salute to adeboyor and him checking his pulse on his neck to say "villa are still alive" cringey wanker.

This cunt reminds me a bit of Sitton, minus the gillet. I reckon he could make a decent black cabbie too.

Spot on.
13 players brought in. No obvious system. Very few chances created.
The PL is now a far too technical and physically relentless place to rely on talking a good game.
Is the players don't know or believe in the system then you are fucked. No matter how much cheat beating you do.

The Sherwood appointment was terrible for lots of reasons. But mainly because the days of tub-thumping, chest-beating coaches winning games are long gone. He'd done little to warrant getting the gig, no obvious tactical nous, just froth and hollering.
Bawling out your own players live on camera is old hat and embarrassing. See John Sitton. Bring a napkin.

Problem for me with Sherwood is this.
Last week a journo said "Sherwood hasn't become a bad manager overnight". But my response would be "But when did he prove was ever a good manager?"
He got thrust into the spotlight at Spurs by default and as soon as they got their 'proper' manager he got pushed out. Villa took a punt on him and by hook or by crook he kept them up and somehow got them to a final.
For me, that short career proves fuck all. There is a good chance he is a good motivator and that may be how he kept them up. Getting them to the final was good going but they looked shocking at the final and have done ever since.
He has brought in 13 players at Villa and they look as bas as I have ever seen them.
I look at Jimmy Flloyd cutting his teeth at lower levels. Learning and grafting. I look at what Eddie Howe did at lower level and how he earned his stripes. I look at Owen Coyle grafting at lower level. To my mind they have done it the right way and deserve their chance.
I fail to see what he fuck Sherwood ever did to be a PL manager. Bloke is a chancer. Took his chance and got found out.

Ha ha Unfortunately there are LOTS of things
Just seems these days most managers are on a hiding to nothing. 10 bad games and everyone wants to sack you. Maybe why you see utter cocks like Mourinho inventing conspiracies and hiding under a blanket. IF YOU CANT SEE ME YOU CANT SACK ME

No idea why Moyes would move from San Sebastian to Brum for this thankless job. Unless he has a few body-warmers that he feels need an airing.

I'm not sure anyone is claiming it was a heroic call? Good lord, Sven, is there anything you're not an expert on?
Anyway, if the £500 gets paid then stick it in the WHO pot for Homeless Steve et al, or whatever the fella's name is/was.
